JUAN AND MARIEL IN SINGAPORE

Juan Villafane and Mariel Gastiarena will be in Singapore to share their amazing experience and skills as professional Lindy hop teachers and dancers.
This is Juan's third visit to Singapore and we welcome him back as we have found his classes provide magic tips that help improve our dancing so much!
The workshops are designed for all different levels of dancers. We promise that you will leave having learnt more about the dance and also how to continue practicing to keep on improving.
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
All classes held at The Studio, 7th Floor,

Level 1:
You are familiar with both rhythms and patterns as well as the technique that comes with it. This level will try to improve on the execution of fairly basic material, but also provide slightly more spiritual and challenging material.
Level 2:
This level is for experienced dancers - students showing up at this level are confident, technically knowledgeable and fairly fluent in the rhythmical language around the dance form. The material in this level will be challenging from all aspects: rhythmically, technically and tempo wise.

About Juan and Mariel
Juan Villafane
Juan Villafane is a world-renowned swing dancer, teacher and performer specialised in Lindy Hop & Authentic Jazz.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he had been dancing for the last 18 years, teaching, competing and performing at some of the most important Lindy Hop events around the world, in the United States, Europe, Asia & Australia.
Along side Mariel Gastiarena and Manuel Bicain, he is the producer of Swingin’ Party, the biggest Lindy Hop party in South America, CA.PO.S, (the Buenos Aires Swing Dance Championships) and Swing City, the first Lindy Hop, Authentic Jazz and Tap school in Argentina.
Mariel Gastiarena
Mariel started dancing Lindy Hop in 2004, when she was 14. Since that time she dedicated herself to dance Lindy Hop, Authentic Jazz and Tap and at the same time she learned different styles like jazz dance, classical, contemporary, african dance and tango.
She also studied music at the Municipal Conservatory of Buenos Aires, and later on she focused her training in swing music. She plays clarinet, piano and sings.
Along side Juan Villafañe and Manuel Bicain, she is the producer of Swingin’ Party, the biggest Lindy Hop party in South America, CA.PO.S, (the Buenos Aires Swing Dance Championships) and Swing City, the first Lindy Hop, Authentic Jazz and Tap school in Argentina.
Being one of the most influential swing dancers in South America, Mariel teaches regular classes at Swing City and often travels to teach workshops internationally.
